Meditation. . .Something To Think About

In looking at the statement below, written in 1910, it occurred to me that this is the key to total happiness and success for each of us.  It is not defined by culture, race, economic status, age, or anything else for that matter.  The Bible says, “To Thine Own Self Be True.”  If we obey our true self which is the soul; if we look, listen and feel using the wisdom of the soul, we will place ourselves in the perfect mind set of divine love.  This will create a high positive energy within us and around us.   This sets the stage for success in our lives.  Often, we think that we are having such a hard time making it.  In meditation, the Spirit revealed that our conditions are truly our responsibility.  These conditions are caused my our own thinking and reaction to events and circumstances.  If we cast our thoughts downward while focusing on "poor me, the victim," we will attract more of the same circumstances.  By focusing on being true to our higher self, and watching our thoughts and reactions to what happens to us, we can gain control over our lives.  We will create a life of peace and harmony.  Nothing can disrupt it or disturb it.  Let us begin 2012 with a new attitude, belief and confidence that we can and will create a better time on this plane for ourselves.

“I will obey my soul and be true to that within me which is highest.  I will search within for the pure idea of right in all things, and when I find it, I will express it in my outward life.  I will abandon everything that I have outgrown for the best I can think.  I will have the highest thoughts concerning my relationships, and my manner and actions shall express these thoughts.  I surrender my body to be ruled by my mind;  I yield my mind to the dominion of my soul, and I give my soul to the guidance of God”  (the  higher spirits, love).

Instructions:  Repeat these words 7 times in succession as many times as you can for the next month. Then quiet the mind and meditate for at least 15 minutes daily.
